Famous comedy skit creator, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, popularly known as Brain Jotter, recently reflected on his challenging days as an undergraduate at the University of Lagos before achieving stardom.
Brain Jotter shared that during that period, he undertook various odd jobs, such as selling insecticides and doughnuts, to cover his tuition fees and other expenses. He also disclosed that he worked in a laundry, earning a monthly salary of N15,000.
Opening up on the Hip TV show, Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Brain Jotter revealed, “In 2020, my salary was N15,000. By 2021, it had increased to N30,000. During my first year at the University of Lagos, I worked in a laundry. In addition to that, I engaged in other endeavors. I sold bedbug killer within my school and started with selling doughnuts in my class during the first year. In the second year, it was bedbug killer, and by the third year, I drove to school.”
He further shared, “Since the viral success of my videos, I haven’t been able to go five days straight without working. Stardom has made me restless, except when I’m not in Lagos. Even when I’m away, I find myself brainstorming content ideas. Back then, my dream was simple – to rent a one-room apartment and become a taxi driver.”
