Veteran Nigerian comedian Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, known as Alibaba, claimed that he’s behind many jokes commonly told by Nigerian comedians.
Despite this, he noted some comedians still believe he hasn’t contributed much to the comedy industry.
In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel (Deity Cole) and Husband Material, Alibaba mentioned, “Most of the jokes being told, about 4 or 5, are mine.”
He shared an incident where a popular skit maker used his joke from 1988 about an episode in Warri for their video without giving credit.
