Former Chelsea coach Graham Potter has taken responsibility for the team’s poor performance during his tenure.
In a statement shared by Fabrizio Romano, Potter acknowledged that while it’s easy to blame the coach for Chelsea’s struggles, the issue is more complex. Potter was sacked after just over six months in charge, with a record of 12 wins, 8 draws, and 11 losses across all competitions.
Chelsea appointed him in September 2022 after sacking Thomas Tuchel and paid Brighton around £21 million in compensation. Although Potter signed a five-year contract, he was dismissed after less than seven months.
