Chelsea forward Noni Madueke couldn’t help but tease his teammate Cole Palmer after Palmer netted all four goals in Chelsea’s thrilling 4-2 victory over Brighton on Saturday.
Palmer was on fire as Chelsea dominated the Seagulls at Stamford Bridge. Brighton initially took the lead early in the 7th minute through Georginio Rutter, but Palmer quickly turned things around with an incredible first-half performance.
He equalized for Chelsea in the 21st minute, then calmly converted a penalty in the 28th minute to put the Blues ahead. Just three minutes later, Palmer dazzled the crowd with a stunning free-kick, completing his hat-trick in only 31 minutes! Though Carlos Baleba reduced the deficit for Brighton in the 34th minute, Palmer was not done. He secured his fourth goal of the night in the 41st minute with a neat finish from a Sancho assist, restoring Chelsea’s two-goal cushion.
In doing so, Palmer made Premier League history, becoming the first player to score four goals in the first half of a match!
After the game, Madueke took to social media to join the celebration, posting a picture of himself and Palmer with the playful caption: “How greedy!” 😄
