Former Super Eagles midfielder, Olofinjana, praises the high level of play in the Nigerian National League (NNL).

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Seyi Olofinjana, expressed his satisfaction with the level of play during the Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday one clash between Smart City and Edel. The game, held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, concluded with a 1-1 draw.

Chinonso Uzoma, a young talent from Smart City, opened the scoring in the 20th minute, while Arinze Anya later equalized for Edel in the second half.

Olofinjana praised the NNL hierarchy for their efforts in enhancing the appeal of the league. In his statement to NNL media, he said, “I’m impressed with what I saw in the game between Smart City and Edel. There was commendable officiating and a display of fine football artistry by the very young players fielded by both teams. The league organizers are also doing a commendable job.”

Looking ahead, the second round of fixtures for matchday two is scheduled to take place this weekend at various venues across the country.
