Former Minister of Aviation Osita Chidoka has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing his desire to focus on his non-profit organization, the Athena Centre. Chidoka made the announcement on Channels Television’s Politics Today, stating that he’s leaving politics for the time being to concentrate on the Athena Centre, which aims to promote evidence-based governance and reform the political system in Nigeria.
Chidoka, who served as the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), expressed his gratitude to the PDP for the opportunities he had to serve the country in different capacities. He also emphasized his commitment to working with like-minded Nigerians to bring about positive change in the country’s political landscape.
Chidoka’s resignation takes effect immediately, marking the end of his affiliation with the PDP. He had previously served as the Minister of Aviation during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
