FirstBank Launches Bluu TV to Support Nigeria’s Creative Arts Industry

FirstBank has officially inaugurated Bluu TV, a new entertainment hub aimed at fostering creativity and supporting Nigeria’s growing arts and entertainment sector. The launch, which took place on Friday, also served as the premiere for an original series on the platform, marking a significant milestone in the bank’s commitment to promoting the creative arts.

At the event, Segun Alebiosu, Managing Director/CEO of FirstBank, emphasized the immense potential of the creative arts industry to drive economic growth in Nigeria. Represented by Idowu Thompson, Group Executive of Private Banking and Wealth Management, Alebiosu highlighted FirstBank’s ongoing efforts to encourage productivity and job creation in the sector. Recently, the bank has sponsored initiatives like the stage play Kurunmi and the Lagos International Theatre Festival as part of its First@Arts initiative.

Alebiosu expressed excitement about the launch of Bluu TV, calling it a dynamic hub for African entertainment, lifestyle content, and drama, designed to showcase creativity and innovation. He noted that FirstBank has been intentional in supporting the creative arts over the years, recognizing its vital role in shaping culture, promoting national values, and inspiring positive change.

Through initiatives like First@Arts, FirstBank has been a consistent supporter of arts and culture, helping to build a legacy that contributes to Nigeria’s economic and creative development.
