Femi Otedola made a generous contribution of seven hundred and fifty million Naira to benefit all the students at Augustine University in Ilara Epe, Lagos State. This noteworthy act of philanthropy coincided with his official inauguration as the Chancellor of the institution on October 26.
During the 5th Convocation ceremony of Augustine University, Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos, graced the event where Otedola assumed his role as Chancellor.
Following his inauguration, Femi Otedola extended his goodwill by presenting one million Naira to each of the 750 students enrolled at Augustine University. In a post accompanying photos from the ceremony, he expressed his commitment to elevating the institutions he is associated with, stating, “Today, I was officially inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University. I strongly believe in transforming establishments that I am associated with.”
Moreover, he added, “Therefore, to commemorate my appointment and in recognition of the harsh economic situation in our country, I gave a gift of One Million Naira to each of the Seven Hundred and Fifty Students. I hope this donation of Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time.”
