The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education (NCAOOSCE) has reiterated its dedication to ensuring every child can achieve their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Dr. Muhammad Idris, the Executive Secretary of NCAOOSCE, made this announcement in a statement celebrating Children’s Day 2024, which is themed “For Every Child, Every Right.”
Dr. Idris emphasized that the day’s theme aligns with the commission’s mission to provide quality education and opportunities for all Almajiri and out-of-school children. He highlighted the essential rights of every child to education, healthcare, protection, and a supportive environment for growth and development.
“I reaffirm our commitment to addressing these issues and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” Dr. Idris stated.
He urged stakeholders to support the agency’s mission to provide quality education to every child, noting that the government agency is mandated and equipped to deliver quality education to Almajiri and out-of-school children and to integrate Western education into Almajiri school curriculums.
“Every child deserves the right to education, healthcare, protection, and a safe and nurturing environment to grow and develop, in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration,” he said.
