Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has decided to abandon the initially scheduled two-day break for his players following their 4-1 loss against Newcastle, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Due to a touchline ban, Pochettino observed the match from the stands. Alexander Isak opened the scoring for Newcastle, with Raheem Sterling later equalizing for Chelsea. However, the team struggled in the second half, leading to captain Reece James receiving a red card and Thiago Silva being blamed by Pochettino for giving Newcastle what he deemed “an easy win.”
Expressing his frustration, Pochettino remarked, “These games make me very, very, very, very angry. We have to show personality and character. We cannot play this type of football. Newcastle were not great, but got an easy win.”
