Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has provided insight into the reasons behind his team’s 0-3 defeat to Bournemouth in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
Ten Hag observed as goals from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing, and Marcos Senesi secured all three points for the visitors at Old Trafford.
In his post-match interview, Ten Hag suggested that the defeat stemmed from his team not performing at their optimal level against the opposition. He emphasized the importance of being at their best in every game, starting with focus, and noted that the team suffered due to a subpar start.
Acknowledging Bournemouth as formidable opponents, the Dutchman also credited them but stressed that his team needs to improve, stating, “They are good opponents, but we have to do better.”
Addressing the disappointment expressed through boos from the crowd, Ten Hag acknowledged the fans’ frustration, stating, “I understand they are disappointed, frustrated. We all are, but we should do better, and we have to show it every game.”
