Bukayo Saka, the Arsenal forward, has issued an apology to Kostas Tsimikas for inadvertently causing the Liverpool player’s collarbone injury during the match at Anfield last Saturday.
Tsimikas had to leave the field due to an injury in the midst of Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield. This occurred after a collision with his own coach, Jurgen Klopp, while contending for the ball with Saka. Following this unfortunate incident, Tsimikas was promptly transported to the hospital for assessment.
Regarding the tackle, Saka commented:
“I’ve been informed that he’s been taken to the hospital, and I would like to extend my apologies to him.
My intentions were not to harm, and from my perspective, it was simply a 50-50 situation where I went in shoulder to shoulder with him.
I didn’t witness the extent of his fall, and I wasn’t aware that he collided with Jurgen Klopp as well. My attention was on moving forward because I didn’t believe it was a foul.”
