Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, didn’t hesitate to name Ruud Van Nistelrooy as the best finisher during his time at the club when asked in a recent interview on Man United’s official website. Ferdinand, who shared the pitch with legendary strikers like Cristiano Ronaldo, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, and Wayne Rooney, held Van Nistelrooy in high regard for his clinical finishing ability.

Ferdinand stated, “Ruud for me. I think all the other strikers (he’s played with) would agree with that as well. Ole is up there; he was a thinking finisher with a calmness to his strikes and great instinct, but I have to go with Ruud. He was clinical and the most ruthless finisher I have played with.”
