EPL: Arteta Provides Injury Updates on Saka, Havertz, Martinelli, and Odegaard Ahead of Bournemouth Clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided key injury updates ahead of their Premier League fixture against Bournemouth this weekend.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Arteta shared encouraging news about Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Martinelli, while also addressing Martin Ødegaard’s recovery status.

“Saka’s injury is not serious. He’s been progressing well over the last two days. We’ll assess him after today’s training session to see if he can make it in time,” Arteta said.

He also gave an update on Havertz, stating, “Kai has had some minor issues, but he’s been excellent in communicating with us. If he trains well today, he has a strong chance of being available.”

Regarding Martinelli, Arteta mentioned, “He arrived back yesterday afternoon. We’ll see how he’s doing today, though I’m sure he’ll say he’s fit.”

However, Martin Ødegaard won’t be ready for the weekend. “Odegaard won’t be fit for this week, but next week will be crucial for his rehab. He needs to clear some markers, especially with ball work, to get closer to returning,” Arteta explained.

On other players such as Timber, Zinchenko, and White, Arteta added: “They are all quite close to returning. We’ll push them today and see how things go.”
