The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that Augustine Eguavoen will remain as the interim head coach of the Super Eagles.
The NFF’s Executive Committee has endorsed the recommendation from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to retain the former international footballer.
Eguavoen is set to lead the team in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya next month.
Earlier this month, the 58-year-old guided the three-time African champions to a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a goalless draw with Rwanda in Matchdays 1 and 2.
He will continue working alongside Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec.
In addition, Eguavoen will oversee the Super Eagles B team’s qualification campaign for next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).
