Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed his dissatisfaction with a majority of Premier League referees, following their 1-1 draw against Sheffield United on Sunday. De Zerbi’s criticism comes in the wake of Arsenal’s manager condemning a controversial decision in their previous match, labeling it as “embarrassing” and a “disgrace” for allowing Newcastle’s decisive goal to stand. During the Brighton vs. Sheffield United game, Brighton’s Mahmoud Dahoud received a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Sheffield’s Ben Osborn. While acknowledging Dahoud’s deserved punishment, De Zerbi, who displayed animated reactions throughout the match and received a yellow card, candidly stated, “I am honest and clear. I don’t appreciate the performance of 80 per cent of England’s referees.”
