Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, on Friday, taunted his primary opponent, Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), urging him to engage in the state’s affairs instead of ceaselessly traversing various avenues.
In response to the Court of Appeal, Lagos, affirming his election victory on March 18, the governor expressed his satisfaction with the judiciary’s consistent dedication to upholding the rule of law in the country. Speaking at the Presidential Lodge, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun extended an invitation to his political rivals, emphasizing the need for collaboration for the state’s progress.
Addressing Adebutu and other contenders, he remarked, “Having exhausted avenues such as the polls, tribunal, and appeal, it is time to cease the futile pursuit. Join hands with us to contribute to the development of the state instead of wandering aimlessly.”
Acknowledging the All Progressives Congress (APC) for providing the platform for his service, Governor Abiodun expressed gratitude to the people of Ogun State for entrusting him with their mandate. He pledged to maintain fairness, justice, and equity in his administration while building upon the foundations laid in his first term.
