Chukwueze’s Late-Winner Sparks AC Milan’s Dramatic Comeback Against Parma

AC Milan transformed frustration into euphoria on Sunday with a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Parma in Serie A, thanks to two stoppage-time goals that sent the San Siro into raptures.

Trailing 2-1 after Enrico Delprato’s 80th-minute strike, Milan stunned their opponents with Tijjani Reijnders equalizing in the 91st minute and Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze sealing the win moments later. The dramatic turnaround elevated Milan to sixth place in the league, five points behind fourth-placed Lazio, who later hosted Fiorentina.

Chukwueze’s decisive bundled finish changed the entire mood of the stadium, giving AC Milan a much-needed confidence boost ahead of a crucial week. The Rossoneri face Dinamo Zagreb midweek with a chance to secure direct qualification for the Champions League Round of 16 before their highly anticipated derby against Inter Milan next weekend.

“We showed the right mentality, fighting until the very end. The way we turned this game around is unbelievable,” said Reijnders, who netted his 11th goal of the season. “This win was crucial for us to return to the level we belong. Now, we have to build on this momentum.”

Earlier, Milan fans expressed their displeasure after Delprato capitalized on a rebound, converting after Mike Maignan’s brilliant save against Drissa Camara. Frustrations boiled over as ultras, who had remained largely silent throughout the game, directed their ire at the club’s management, demanding the sale of the team by its American owners, RedBird Capital.

However, the mood shifted dramatically with Reijnders’ well-placed finish following a clever through ball from Yunus Musah. Just minutes earlier, Strahinja Pavlovic’s header, which had briefly sparked hope for Milan, was ruled offside. Chukwueze’s late winner then sealed an unforgettable evening.

Despite their impressive performance, Parma left the San Siro empty-handed, remaining just one point above the relegation zone. Coach Fabio Pecchia reflected on the missed opportunity: “To play like that at the San Siro and still lose is disappointing, but there’s also pride in how we performed. This display will serve us well moving forward.”

As the league heats up, Inter Milan look to narrow the six-point gap with leaders Napoli in their clash with Lecce, while Roma face mid-table rivals Udinese.
