New Orleans Saints’ star wide receiver, Chris Olave, found himself in legal trouble when he was apprehended by security personnel on Monday, October 23.
According to sources as reported by TMZ Sport, Olave’s arrest stemmed from alleged reckless driving behavior on a Louisiana street. The Kenner Police Department confirmed that the 23-year-old athlete was taken into custody shortly after 9 PM and subsequently released at 11:30 PM.
A spokesperson representing the Kenner Police Department disclosed that Olave was arrested on charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. The charges were filed after officers observed him traveling at a speed of 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. This reckless behavior occurred in an area that is both business and residential, and residents had previously expressed concerns about speeding vehicles.
Reports further indicated that Olave was seen engaging in erratic maneuvers, weaving between lanes and overtaking other drivers at a notably high speed.
Chris Olave, who has been a standout performer for the New Orleans Saints this season, boasts impressive statistics with 39 receptions for 471 yards and one touchdown to his name.
