Certain women experience mental health challenges after getting married

Reality TV star Angel Smith from the Big Brother Naija show has expressed her views on the behavior of some women after marriage, suggesting that they may undergo a transformation leading to irrational behavior.

Angel made these remarks in response to a contentious discussion sparked by a user named @NanaFirdausiii regarding married women who take issue with their friends addressing their husbands by their names.

@NanaFirdausiii wrote, “As my friend, if you call my husband by his name, I’ll first slap you and we’ll now fight and unfriend each other.”

Angel responded by saying, “Some women seem to lose their rationality after marriage, with ‘Mrs’ becoming their sole identity. How am I expected to address a friend’s husband? As ‘Sir’ or ‘uncle’?

“I’ll take into account the generational and cultural differences between Gen Z, millennials, and boomers because I won’t address my friend’s husband as anything other than a joke.

“Why are we getting worked up over trivial matters in our society? This discussion is trivial. Even Jesus referred to his mother as ‘woman’ in the Bible.”
