Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey are set to feature in the Arsenal squad for their upcoming clash against Manchester City.

Arsenal have received a significant boost on the injury front in anticipation of their upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester City on October 8.

This encouraging development follows the return of forward Bukayo Saka to training with the Arsenal squad on Monday morning. Saka’s return is especially reassuring, considering he recently experienced an injury scare. Joining him on the path to recovery is midfielder Thomas Partey, who has returned to training following his recent absence due to injury.

Arsenal’s last outing ended with a resounding 4-0 victory over Bournemouth, during which Saka managed to find the back of the net. It was a game that initially raised concerns about Saka’s fitness, as he had left the field prematurely the weekend prior in a match against Tottenham Hotspur. In the lead-up to the Bournemouth match, Saka was among the players unable to participate in training, fueling apprehension regarding his availability.

During the Bournemouth game, the 22-year-old forward was visibly hindered, particularly in the second half. Eventually, he was substituted in the 76th minute for Fabio Vieira. Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, acknowledged in his post-match interview that Saka had sustained ‘a bad knock’ during the Bournemouth victory. However, his return to training provides a ray of hope for Arsenal’s upcoming showdown with Manchester City.

Despite the worrying update, Saka trained as normal on Monday ahead of the Man City clash and also their midweek UEFA Champions League tie against RC Lens.
