Brymo has made claims of song theft against Burna Boy

Maverick artist, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, famously known as Brymo, has leveled accusations against Grammy-winning musician, Burna Boy, asserting that he pilfered his intellectual property. The renowned ‘Ara’ singer alleged that Burna Boy’s tracks, ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them,’ featured samples from the title track of his forthcoming album, ‘Macabre.’

In a strongly-worded message on his Instagram account, Brymo expressed his dismay, stating, “By the end of this year, you will recall that ‘Macabre’ had not been publicly released, it was as private as it gets. ‘City Boy’ and ‘I Told You’ were both fed to Burna Boy.”

He went on to highlight the connection between the titles of these tracks and his album title track ‘Macabre,’ emphasizing the infringement, which he classified as a criminal act. Brymo firmly believes that this transgression deserves legal repercussions and suggested that Burna Boy should serve a jail sentence.

In his own words, “Former of the track titles I mentioned above is there to point me to the fact that the latter, and his album title is the hook I sing on my album title track ‘Macabre’.. burna na really boy.. and that’s a crime.!! An actual crime…To do time for… and if una like make una resurrect legends to come complain about stolen songs… una go regret this shit to numerous degrees… shey una no dey hear word !!.”
