Renowned comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has outlined a five-year plan to transition away from comedy. Basketmouth intends to retire from comedy when he reaches the age of 50, with the goal of establishing his own entertainment empire and exploring various facets of the entertainment industry.
During a recent interview on Arise TV, the 45-year-old comedian revealed his plan to conclude his comedy career after a series of yearly comedy shows over the next five years. Despite initially abandoning a music career in the 1990s to pursue comedy, Basketmouth expressed his longstanding awareness of returning to diverse entertainment pursuits.
“In five years, when I turn 50, I envision immersing myself in something different that will demand a significant portion of my time. I aspire to dedicate my full attention to this new venture,” Basketmouth shared. He expressed confidence in seamlessly combining his varied interests, including films, TV shows, and concerts, while acknowledging the challenges of maintaining a high level of commitment to comedy alongside these endeavors.
