Barcelona Gains Significant Injury Relief Prior to Showdown with Real Madrid

Barcelona appears likely to have Pedri and Robert Lewandowski back in contention for their LaLiga showdown against Real Madrid on October 28.

Pedri encountered a thigh injury at the end of August during a training session, while Robert Lewandowski sustained a left ankle injury during their recent Champions League bout against FC Porto. According to The Athletic, Lewandowski is on track to make a full recovery, as it is not a muscle-related injury.

Pedri, on the other hand, is on the verge of returning to action after missing the last ten matches for the Catalan giants.

This double boost of having Pedri and Lewandowski available ahead of the crucial El Clasico on October 28 will undoubtedly be welcome news for Barcelona. However, midfielder Frenkie de Jong and defender Jules Kounde won’t be available due to injuries.

Additionally, there’s hope for Raphinha’s return as he is on the path to recovery and may find a spot in the matchday squad for the impending clash against Real Madrid.
