Actor John Dumelo Secures Parliamentary Seat in Ghana

Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has made history by winning the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary constituency seat under the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Dumelo defeated incumbent Lydia Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a significant margin, securing 40,561 votes to Alhassan’s 27,377.

This victory marks a major milestone for Dumelo, who has been vying for the seat since 2018. He narrowly lost the 2020 election but persevered and ultimately emerged victorious.

As a renowned actor in both Nollywood and Ghallywood, He has featured in numerous films, including 4Play, A Northern Affair, and Beautiful Ruins. His win is a testament to his dedication and commitment to public service.
