Argentina’s head coach, Lionel Scaloni, has encouraged Lionel Messi to prolong his playing career “as long as he can.” Despite not officially announcing his retirement plans, the 36-year-old recently completed his inaugural season with MLS team Inter Miami CF and is gearing up for his second year in the United States.
In a Twitch interview with Christian Vieri, Scaloni expressed admiration for Messi’s enduring prowess, stating, “We tell him [Messi] to play for as long as he can. He has proven that he doesn’t have an end. You don’t know when he will give it up. It’s incredible.”
Scaloni, under whose guidance Messi secured his first World Cup victory in Qatar, highlighted Messi’s remarkable achievements by stating that he has now triumphed in every conceivable tournament throughout his illustrious career.
