Description

Advisory & Consulting – Monitoring Trustee Graduate Trainee | London | Start: 1 September 2026

Ref: 5466

About the Monitoring Trustee Team

The Monitoring Trustee team is a dynamic consultancy providing oversight services to companies and regulatory authorities on competition law remedies. These remedies, imposed by bodies such as the European Commission or the UK Competition and Markets Authority, ensure mergers and anti-competitive behaviours do not harm market competition.

Monitoring trustees play a vital role in assessing compliance with these remedies, which may include structural measures (like divestments) or behavioural measures (such as pricing commitments or access to assets and technology). The team also monitors business viability and oversees compliance with interim measures, including ring-fencing and separation requirements.

Based in London, the multidisciplinary team includes lawyers, accountants, economists, former competition authority officials, and generalists. They work with multinational, blue-chip clients on complex, high-profile cases globally.

As a Graduate Trainee Consultant, you will support the Monitoring Trustee team across all stages of project delivery, including:

Your progression will depend on performance, ability, and motivation, with full support from the team to help you succeed.
