2027: Labour Party Will Seize Control of Lagos, APC Has Failed Miserably — Rhodes-Vivour Declares

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate for Lagos State in the 2023 elections, has confidently predicted that the Labour Party will not only win but take full control of Lagos in 2027.

Speaking to journalists in Umuahia, Abia State, where he attended an extended stakeholders’ meeting of the Labour Party, Rhodes-Vivour shared his optimism about the party’s future in Lagos. He emphasized that since the party’s remarkable performance in Lagos during the 2023 presidential elections, where it gained significant ground, they have been tirelessly building momentum.

“The Labour Party is now more structured and stronger than ever. We’re not just aiming to win, but to take power in Lagos in 2027,” he stated. “Our presence here in Umuahia is to ensure that everyone is on the same page. We’re preparing for new victories, and I believe LP will win Lagos more convincingly than before.”

He also took aim at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of poor governance. According to him, the APC’s failures have made it easier for the Labour Party to gain more traction in Lagos and across Nigeria.

“The economic hardship and hunger sweeping across the country are undeniable signs of the APC’s ineptitude,” Rhodes-Vivour asserted, adding that the LP’s continuous growth and strength will position them to take over in 2027.
